Green Roofs are growing in popularity because they look lush and lovely and are environmentally friendly. Whether you want to cover the roof of your house, a shed, a garage or an outside office, it’s easier than you think.
The MobiRoof Green Roof system is a ready-made, lightweight, sustainable sedum cassette that is easily placed against each other to cover the roof of your choice. These cassettes are perfect for flat roofs and sloping roofs with an angle of up to 10 degrees.
Cassettes are planted with 6-8 types of precultivated Sedum (including Album, Spurium and Reflexum. The cassette is filled with a substrate which, in addition to the function of the growth medium, ensures drainage and storage of water. Irrigation is not required in a British climate unless drought conditions are experienced.
Applying root-resistant permeable sheeting on the roof is vital before installing the cassettes when the roofing does not include a root-resistant layer.
General maintenance is required once or twice per year, including sedum fertilizer in the spring and deadheading flowers from mid-September
This type of Green Roof system offers many benefits, including air quality improvement, extending the roof’s lifespan, and each cassette is fully recyclable.

The external measurements of the cassettes are 50 x 50 x 6 cm (=0.25 m²). 4 cassettes, therefore, fit into 1 m².
The Green Roof weighs approximately saturated with water. 38 kg per m2 when dry and around 58 kg per m2 when completely
The cassette is made of regenerated non-toxic polypropylene (PP) produced in the Netherlands.
The water capacity is approximately 20 litres per m². Adding a buffer layer under the cassette can increase the water buffer capacity.
