Gardenscapes are landscape contractors for garden designers.
For this hard landscaping project in Redhill, Surrey we worked alongside Botanicks Design Studio to bring the garden designs of Nicky Chamberlain to life.
We carried out the hard landscaping construction work to transform the new build back garden in Redhill, Surrey into an inviting and contemporary outdoor space for all the family.
The main challenge for hardscaping was the especially damp site due to the poor drainage; at one point, the client had a waterfall.
Having overcome the damp issue, the landscaping provides the client with an outside area for entertaining and dining.
As part of the hardscaping, we overcame the damp garden issue by installing land drainage with a sump and pump and Aco systems.
The drainage solutions not only rectify the existing damp problem but also provide a long-term fix to avoid future issues.
With many landscaping projects, it’s this type of work that you don’t see that makes all the difference to the longevity of the final garden transformation.
The large garden benefits from two main socialising areas allowing the homeowners to enjoy quality time with friends and family.
The alfresco dining area with a dining table and chairs is close to the patio doors for easy access to the kitchen.
To the rear of the garden you’ll find the cosy relaxation corner with a wooden divider screen and a sofa.
A further paved area provides an additional terrace for endless entertaining opportunities.
Porcelain paving by London Stone is the ideal surface for the patio zones, with stepping stones connecting the two areas.
We installed outside lighting to enhance the time spent in the garden throughout the evening.
The contemporary garden design also incorporates raised Corten steel planters to add decorative interest.
The clients wanted to incorporate their much-loved timber-clad retaining wall into the garden design.
Additional timber slatted screening was added to create privacy and a natural backdrop to the landscaping.
The overall effect is a secluded garden with an appealing appearance.
