Garden Design and Build Brief

This Garden Design and Construction Project in Redhill, Surrey was for a contemporary garden that is in keeping with the modern architecture of the house.

Areas for entertaining and relaxing were the main priorities for the garden design.

Although the overall garden design is contemporary, it was important to soften the imposing garage wall.

The plot is adjacent to a meadow and woodland which was a consideration of the overall garden design.

Paved Seating Area

The light grey London Stone porcelain paving for the seating areas contrasts with a dark clay paver for connecting pathways.

Oak arches define the lounge seating space to provide a sense of seclusion in the garden.

The oak structure provides the ideal overhead support to suspend the stunning egg chair.

The sofa and coffee table provide a tranquil spot for the family to gather and enjoy their dream garden.

Garden Planting Design

Corten steel edges clad the raised beds for a luxe industrial feel.

The garage wall is fitted with plant supports that will, in time, soften the brickwork by providing plant cover.

Areas of planting balance with the hard landscaping.

Specimen shrubs and Taxus balls provide the framework around which sit blocks of perennials and grasses.

The planting design is easy to maintain to ensure that maximum time is spent relaxing rather than tending to the plants.
