Garden Landscaping Brief

The Landscape Dorking Project began when the client in Newdigate, Dorking, approached us to create their front garden and driveway to complement the rest of the garden space. The brief was to implement their garden design using products to enhance the natural environment, making the driveway and paths more accessible for wheelchairs.

Garden Landscaping and Construction

The main garden construction included creating reclaimed brick retaining walls. We added pathways, ramps, and steps in Calibrated Sandstone with a rustic appearance to make the garden easy to explore and more accessible. Thanks to the large terrace, the family has ample space for dining and entertaining outside. The final touches of laying the lawn and cultivating the borders brought the formal style grounds to life.

Gravel Driveway Installation

We also installed the Nidagravel driveway system, a firm, free-draining gravel surface to smarten up the entrance to the property. The gravel driveway fits the period of the property and the architecture. It was a cost-effective solution that created an immediate welcoming first impression to family and guests.

Garden Awards Nominee

We are proud that the Blanks Farm landscaping project in Dorking is a finalist for the 2022 APL Awards (The Association of Professional Landscapers). They said, “the standard of entries to the APL Awards 2022 exceeded expectations, and Gardenscapes was picked from a record number of submissions.”

Gardenscapes has just finished a five-month project rebuilding part of the garden and replacing the drive. The hard and soft landscape works were completed to a very high standard. Neal and Ainsley were a pleasure to work with, and we would be happy to recommend Gardenscapes.
